Kensington Oval will turn blue on Wednesday 16 September as the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) marks a special fundraising day for the Sir Clive Lloyd Health Care Foundation, which supports the fight against prostate cancer, coinciding with the eliminator match between home side Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Kingsmen.
Patrons attending the eliminator, which gets underway at 7pm, are being urged to wear blue in a show of support, with the initiative forming part of CPL’s continued commitment to cancer awareness as the 2026 season draws to its conclusion on 20 September.
Signed blue caps from CPL players will be auctioned on the night, with proceeds going to the Sir Clive Lloyd Health Care Foundation. Fans at the ground, and those watching around the world, will also be able to donate in support of the cause.
The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League continues to place community wellbeing at the heart of its showpiece event, with cancer awareness remaining a standing priority as the tournament heads into its concluding matches.
