The Opportunity

We are excited to be looking for a Dynamos Intro Ambassador to join the Cricket Development team at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket.

Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket, is an award-winning world-class stadium and venue. It is recognised as one of the UK’s most prestigious venues for sport, business, leisure and entertainment with a capacity of up to 50,000 people for concerts; 26,000 for international cricket matches; meetings and events spaces for up to 2,000 delegates; a four-star hotel with 250 rooms; and an on-site Caffè Nero.

The venue has played host to some of the world’s biggest sporting events, including six ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures in 2019, Ashes Test Matches and world class concerts. In previous years we have welcomed performances from Harry Styles, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and had numerous cricket matches, including England one day internationals and a test match. It’s a unique place to build a career where no two days are ever the same!

Key Responsibilities

To support our ambitions to achieve continued growth in Cricket Development we are looking for an experienced Dynamos Intro Ambassador to join our team. You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Dynamos Intros Cricket courses to children in local schools and communities.
  • Establishing and cultivating relationships with local community groups.
  • Assisting County Board staff in the recruitment and engagement of volunteers.
  • Developing a local plan for the training and deployment of volunteers across the local area.
  • Overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of the project, providing monthly updates to the County Board, Sky, and the ECB.
  • Working across a diverse county, you will understand when and how to adapt your communication with the different cultures and communities.
  • Managing and monitoring the budget at the local level.
  • Provide administrative support to collect and publicise information on best practice / case studies / surveys and in generating the feedback from the relevant service user

Essential Requirements

  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others

  • Ability to meet agreed targets and deadlines
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to evaluate all activity in agreed format
  • Able to operate safely within the workplace by identifying risk and using safe working practices
  • Excellent organisation, planning skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of culturally diverse communities

Experience / Qualifications / Training

  • A strong enthusiasm for engaging in activities with young people
  • Outstanding skills in managing stakeholders effectively
  • Proficiency in end-to-end project management, including monitoring and evaluation
  • Sales experience is advantageous (specifically within the sports industry is not mandatory)
  • An inspiring and nurturing leadership approach
  • A dedication to the holistic development of individuals
  • A proven track record of successfully executing projects involving multiple partners
  • DBS Clearance
