Laura MacLeod named Head of Cricket for the new WCCC Bears Women

Must Read

Laura MacLeod will assume leadership of the newly formed Bears Women professional team of the Warwickshire County Cricket Club starting next season.

MacLeod is a former England Women’s international and the current Head of Cricket at Central Sparks.

In 2025, the Bears will be among the eight fully professional teams participating in a new national structure, a result of the England & Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) multi-million pound expansion of the women’s game.

Talking about her transition from Sparks to Bears, MacLeod expressed, “It’s time to build on the success of The Hundred and give many more young women the hope and belief they too can have a professional playing career in cricket.”
