Kent Cricket is delighted to announce that Liam Knight has been promoted to Media and Communications Manager.
Liam joined the Club in 2018 as Marketing and Communications Executive before changing roles to Communications and Content Executive in October 2020 and being promoted to Senior Communications Executive in January 2022. He has consistently shown a commitment to growth in local, national, and international audiences to support Membership and ticket sales as well as commercial opportunities.
Having overseen exponential growth in the Club’s online following over the last six years, he has played a big role in delivering sold-out IT20 and Vitality Blast fixtures during this time at Kent and has overseen the overhaul of the Club’s live streaming output, including the first ever pay-per-view county cricket streaming service, KentCricketPlay.
He has managed the Club’s internal and external communications and developed the Club’s brand identity over his time at the Club. His new role will include management of a new Communications Strategy to identify increased PR opportunities to help Kent Cricket grow further in an ever-changing cricketing climate.
Liam will report to Chief Commercial Office Andy Griffiths and continue to line manage the Digital Marketing Assistant (fixed term contract) role, which will be in place again for the 2025 season.

The club’s limited overs team is known as the Kent Spitfires.
