Melbourne Renegades: Squad named for Thursday against the Sixers

Melbourne Renegades
Melbourne Renegades
Melbourne Renegades are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket club based in Melbourne, Australia. They compete in the Australian Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League.

The Melbourne Renegades have made one change to their 13-man squad for Thursday’s huge clash with the Sydney Sixers at Marvel Stadium.

Left-arm spinner Tom Andrews is in selection contention, replacing paceman Harry Gurney, who has returned home to England for his brother’s wedding.

He will return to Melbourne ahead of the Renegades’ next match against the Stars.

Andrews was added to the Renegades’ roster as an injury replacement player ahead of the team’s clash with the Perth Scorchers. He previously represented the Adelaide Strikers in two BBL matches back in 2017.

The Renegades will be seeking to break through for their first win of the new season, but will have happy memories of their last meeting with the Sixers at Marvel Stadium, when they won a three-wicket Semi-Final epic to progress through to the final.

The Spy Game
Thursday’s match against the Sixers isn’t just any game – it’s the Spy Game.

We’re giving away a Bay of Movie tickets to 20th Century Fox’s New Year’s Day release of Spies in Disguise, and there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved with activations before and during the match at Marvel Stadium.
