Sciver-Brunt returns to the top after Durham heroics
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has regained the No. 1 spot in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings following a brilliant 98-run knock in the series decider against India in Durham. Despite her effort coming in a losing cause, as India won the match by 13 runs to seal the series 2–1, Sciver-Brunt edged past Smriti Mandhana by just three rating points to retake the top position.
This marks the third time in her career that Sciver-Brunt has topped the rankings, having previously held the No. 1 position between July 2023 and April 2024, and again from June to December 2024.
Harmanpreet’s century powers India and boosts rankings
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur delivered a match-winning century — 102 off 84 balls — which helped her jump 10 places to 11th on the ODI batting charts.
Teammates also saw ranking gains: Jemimah Rodrigues moved up two places to 13th, while Richa Ghosh surged nine spots to 39th with a career-best rating of 516.
Prendergast and Lewis headline Ireland’s dominance
Following Ireland’s 2–0 ODI series win over Zimbabwe in Belfast, Orla Prendergast emerged as Player of the Series and climbed 12 places to a career-best joint-22nd in the ODI batting rankings.
She also gained in the all-rounders’ and bowling charts:
- 10 slots up to 33rd among bowlers (best-ever rating: 447)
- Broke into the top 10 in the all-rounders’ rankings (up from 13th)
Ireland captain Gaby Lewis rose one place to 17th in the batting rankings, and Amy Hunter climbed two slots to 28th. On the Zimbabwe side, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano reached a career-high 40th position after scores of 48 and 56, while Modester Mupachikwa moved up two places to 53rd.
Lewis dominates T20I series as Ireland sweep Zimbabwe
The update also reflects results from the T20I series in Dublin, where Ireland whitewashed Zimbabwe 3–0. Gaby Lewis was once again the standout performer, amassing 154 runs in the series, including innings of 67 and 87.
Her dominance earned her the Player of the Series award and helped her rise to joint-14th in the T20I batting rankings, tying with India’s Jemimah Rodrigues.
Cara Murray also made significant gains, moving up three spots to 45th among T20I bowlers after taking seven wickets across the three matches, including hauls of three for 19 and three for 17.
