Tom Moffat, CEO of the World Cricketers’ Association (WCA) is excited about the newly-formed US Cricketers’ Association (USCA) which the WCA helped establish.
The USCA’s board is comprised of players Corey Anderson, Dane Piedt, Obus Pienaar, as well as Australian Cricketers’ Association CEO Todd Greenberg, and Walter Palmer, a former basketball player and long-time organizer of sports players movements in the US.
The USCA, guided by the WCA, successfully petitioned the US National Labor Relations board to receive sanctioning and are now a part of the WCA with observer status.
Moffat discusses the collaborative efforts between the WCA and USCA as they work toward USCA’s full membership in the WCA. He emphasizes the importance of players leading the governance structure and the positive impact of organized efforts on cricket’s growth and development in the U.S.
