Over 10,000 tickets sold in 24 hours for New Zealand’s international home summer

The Chappell-Hadlee Trophy T20I series vs Australia leads the surge, boosted by NZC’s '$20 for 20 hours' promotion celebrating 20 years of T20 cricket.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has confirmed that more than 10,000 tickets were sold in just the first 24 hours of the Cricket Nation pre-sale for the upcoming 2025/26 international home summer.

Leading the early surge in demand is the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy series, with fans rushing to secure seats for the BLACKCAPS three-match KFC T20I series against Australia at Bay Oval in Tauranga.

‘$20 tickets for 20 hours’ promo fuels fast sales

One-third of all available tickets for the Chappell-Hadlee series have already been claimed, boosted by NZC’s special “$20 tickets for 20 hours” promotion celebrating 20 years of T20I cricket.

The offer sparked a strong fan response, and NZC is now encouraging those who haven’t yet purchased to act fast before tickets reach capacity.

Public on-sale date set for August 27

Fans still have time to access the Cricket Nation pre-sale, but all remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, August 27 at 10am.
