Salman Ali Agha to lead Pakistan in back-to-back T20I assignments in the UAE

Lahore, 17 August 2025 – The Pakistan Men’s National Selection Committee has announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming UAE T20I tri-series and the ACC Asia Cup 2025, both scheduled to take place in the UAE between 29 August and 28 September.

The tri-series will see Pakistan compete against Afghanistan and UAE from 29 August to 7 September at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. This will be followed by the Asia Cup T20 tournament from 9 to 28 September in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The Super Fours stage will take place between 20 and 26 September in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the final scheduled for 28 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS).

With both tournaments taking place in familiar UAE conditions, this series presents a vital opportunity for Pakistan’s new-look squad to refine combinations and build momentum ahead of major ICC competitions.
