Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I series begins Wednesday at revamped Gaddafi Stadium

Lahore, 27 May 2025: Pakistan and Bangladesh are set to clash in a highly anticipated three-match T20I series beginning Wednesday, 28 May at the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The series will play a key role in both teams’ T20 World Cup 2026 preparations.

Match schedule and key details

  • 1st T20I: Wednesday, 28 May – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • 2nd T20I: Friday, 30 May – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • 3rd T20I: Sunday, 1 June – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

All matches will begin at 8:00 PM local time, with the toss scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Captains lead preparations and call for fan support

Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead Pakistan, while Litton Das captains Bangladesh. Both teams held their first training session under lights on Monday, with a final practice scheduled for Tuesday evening.

Salman Ali Agha: “Our players are coming off excellent form in HBL PSL X. We expect a good challenge from Bangladesh and urge fans to come out in big numbers.”

Litton Das: “We know what to expect in these conditions. The series is a great test for our T20 World Cup preparation.”

Head-to-head and historical edge

Pakistan holds the upper hand in the rivalry, having won three out of four T20Is played at home against Bangladesh, with one match abandoned. Of the five bilateral T20I series between the two nations, Pakistan has won four, while Bangladesh claimed one series win back in 2015.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed an experienced commentary team including Ramiz Raja, Aamir Sohail, Bazid Khan, Athar Ali Khan, and Mike Haysman. Zainab Abbas will host the series coverage.
