JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have announced an exciting new white-ball tour that will feature the first-ever T20 International (T20I) double-header series between the Proteas Men and BLACK CAPS, as well as the Proteas Women and the WHITE FERNS.

The five-match T20I series, taking place from 15 to 25 March 2026, will feature both the men’s and women’s teams playing on the same day at the same venue. This is a first for both nations in a bilateral series.
The Proteas Women will take the field in the afternoon, followed by the Proteas Men under lights in the evening. Fans will enjoy back-to-back action at international cricket venues in Mount Maunganui (15 March), Hamilton (17 March), Auckland (20 March), Wellington (22 March), and Christchurch (25 March).

Following the T20I series, the Proteas Women will remain in New Zealand for a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series from 29 March to 04 April, which will be part of the second round of IWC matches for qualification to the 2029 Women’s Cricket World Cup.

Enoch Nkwe, Director of National Teams and High Performance at CSA, commented on the historic T20I double-headers: “This is an exciting step forward in our relationship with New Zealand Cricket. Hosting both the women’s and men’s fixtures as double-headers throughout the T20I series will offer fans a more inclusive and engaging cricketing experience.”
Nkwe further noted, “It will no doubt be a competitive tour, and we look forward to what promises to be an exciting series for both the Proteas Men and Proteas Women. This series will also serve as valuable preparation for the Proteas Women ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England and Wales in June.”
