SACA announces 154th Annual General Meeting to be held at Adelaide Oval on 25 September
The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) has issued notice of its 154th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to take place at 6:00pm (ACST) on Thursday, 25 September 2025, in the Ian McLachlan Room, Level 3, Western Stand at Adelaide Oval.

Who can attend and vote?
Only SACA Members who are Voting Members may attend and vote at the AGM under the SACA Constitution. To be eligible, Membership Fees for the 2025/26 Membership Year must be paid in full before the AGM date. Members must also bring photo ID to be marked off the register at entry.

Voting Members may vote in person or by appointing a proxy. A proxy does not need to be a SACA Member.

Resolution 1: Tim Nielsen – Honorary Life Membership
Voting Members will consider the Board’s nomination of Tim Nielsen as an Honorary Life Member of SACA. Nielsen, a former South Australian wicketkeeper, national coach, and High Performance leader at SACA, is recognised for over 30 years of service to the game.
Career highlights include:
- 376 dismissals in First Class and List A cricket for South Australia
- Shield-winning season in 1995/96
- Coach of Australia from 2007–2011, including a Champions Trophy win
- Led SACA High Performance programs that won BBL|07, WBBL|08 & WBBL|09
- Developed stars such as Travis Head, Darcie Brown, Alex Carey, Tahlia McGrath
In July 2025, Nielsen was appointed National Development Lead at Cricket Australia, overseeing the men’s U19 program ahead of the ICC U19 World Cup 2026.
The Board recommends voting in favour of Resolution 1.
Resolution 2: Removal of Pitcher Partners as auditor
Following a competitive tender, the Board has proposed removing Pitcher Partners as the external auditor of SACA.
The Board recommends voting in favour of Resolution 2.
Resolution 3: Appointment of BDO Audit Pty Ltd as auditor
If Resolution 2 is passed, Members will vote on appointing BDO Audit Pty Ltd as the new auditor for SACA, in line with recommendations from the audit tender process.
The Board recommends voting in favour of Resolution 3.
