USA Cricket has issued an update to its members regarding the status of its partnership with American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), the parent organization behind Major League Cricket (MLC) and Minor League Cricket, under a 2019 commercial agreement.

In a message shared with its membership, USA Cricket reaffirmed its commitment to the growth, professionalism, and long-term success of cricket in the United States. The update comes in response to a wave of inquiries regarding the organization’s commercial relationship with ACE.

“USA Cricket is incredibly supportive of and committed to the continued and long-term success of Major and Minor League Cricket,” the statement said. “This season, Major League Cricket has broken into new markets and contributed immensely to the visibility and success of the sport in the United States.”

Minor League Cricket, the statement noted, continues to serve an important role in developing domestic players, coaches, umpires, and administrators.

ACE partnership includes financial and infrastructure commitments

According to USA Cricket, its relationship with ACE is not limited to granting sanctioning rights. The 2019 Term Sheet outlines broader obligations, including:

  • Financial support for USA National Teams and players
  • Development of cricket-specific infrastructure, including stadiums and high-performance training centers

“Our partnership with ACE also carries certain obligations for MLC to assist as a partner in the development of American cricket,” USA Cricket emphasized.

Formal concerns raised over compliance

On June 24, 2025, USA Cricket formally communicated concerns to ACE and requested timely and transparent responses. These include questions about ACE’s compliance with its obligations to provide financial support to national teams and build critical infrastructure envisioned in the contract.

“We remain committed to ensuring that all parties and partners meet their contractual obligations to advance and grow the game of cricket in a mutually beneficial way,” USA Cricket stated. “We are hoping for a favorable outcome to these discussions.”

USA Cricket concluded the message by thanking members for their continued support and promised to share additional updates as they become available.
