USA Cricket, the national governing body for cricket in the United States, has announced that its members will soon vote on a series of significant constitutional reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and alignment with Olympic governance standards.
As part of ongoing governance modernization efforts, the proposed amendments will be submitted to eligible USA Cricket members for approval between May 28 and June 3, 2025. The reforms are designed to strengthen USA Cricket’s governance model and bring the organization into full compliance with United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) requirements.
Virtual town hall to explain proposed amendments
Ahead of the vote, USA Cricket will host a virtual town hall on May 27, 2025, where members can learn more about the proposed constitutional changes and ask questions. The session details will be shared via USA Cricket’s social media channels.
A comprehensive document outlining each proposed amendment and the reasoning behind them is available for member review. Eligible voters are encouraged to study the document carefully and participate in the democratic process.
Governance committee expands with key appointments
In a parallel development, USA Cricket has announced two new appointments to its Nominations and Governance Committee (NGC), reinforcing its commitment to legal compliance and effective oversight.

- Lisa Noller – Independent Representative
Both Lever and Noller bring deep experience in legal, compliance, and governance matters. Their inclusion is seen as a key step in USA Cricket’s drive to build a resilient and future-ready organizational structure.
Voter eligibility and next steps
Following the conclusion of the Peer Review process on March 31, 2025, USA Cricket has finalized the list of eligible voters. This list is now publicly accessible for member verification.
Chairman Venu Pisike emphasized the importance of the reforms, stating:
“These changes represent more than procedural updates—they are a reflection of USA Cricket’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and progress. I encourage all eligible members to engage in this important process.”
Athlete representation on the horizon
Pending ratification of the constitutional changes, USA Cricket will initiate elections in June to fill the positions of Athlete Directors on the USA Cricket Board and the inaugural Athletes’ Advisory Council.
These elections are expected to elevate athlete voices in the organization’s decision-making structure and enhance representation, equity, and inclusion.
