Karachi: Karachi Kings’ head coach Dean Jones has penned down a strong game plan to win the upcoming fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The most successful coach of the PSL is really excited to take up the challenge with a strong squad of the most followed franchise. Jones shared his plan with Kings’ fans and can’t wait to see his boys fighting in the ground.

“Hello, Karachi Kings’ fans, it is really good to be back in Pakistan,” he said. “Let me share it with you, what is my role as a head coach. I have penned down a plan here and really looking forward to seeing my boys gathering in Karachi,” he added.

Jones has a few points, he will be working on to lead his side to PSL 5 victory. Here they are:

Game plan

“We need to work really hard on our game plan because without it we can’t move forward. It includes the style of playing and mindset,” he said.

Players’ role

“We have a list of wonderful players that makes exceptional combinations. We will do work on assigning different roles to each player according to his strength,” Jones shared.

Practice matches

“It is something really important. We will try to conduct practice matches on different occasions to prepare our boys strongly for the event,” he highlighted.Team activities

Imad Wasim and his boys don’t need to be worried as their coach also has some fun activities in the pipeline on the sidelines of their preparations. “I and Wasim will be accompanying the players to make them relaxed. We will plan some fun activities and team bonding sessions to know each other better,” he added.

Media handling

“Media sessions are also important and we need to encourage our players to meet with the press positively,” he said.

Workloads

“A lot of players in our squad have been playing a lot of cricket, so we need to manage their workload to take their full concentration on the game day,” he concluded.

On the other hand, Jones asked all the fans to keep their Kings’ shirt ready and come to the stadium in numbers to support them.

“I will wait for all of you to come to the stadium and support Kings,” Jones shout-outs.
