National team opener Liton Kumar Das has recently joined the individual training arranged by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Liton spoke about his experience about the practice and how the last home series against Zimbabwe for the Tigers will boost his confidence. Liton was at his very best in both the ODI and T20I series. In the ODI series he scored two centuries including the 176 runs knock in the 3rd match which is now the highest score for Bangladesh in this format. Liton then followed it up with two back-to-back fifty in the T20I series.

“Its true that after a break i’m kind of in the back-foot. But i think all the all players are feeling the same as we were out of the play for the longest time. I’m trying to get some confidence from the last series we played against Zimbabwe. I believe if i can take challenge that i have to do well than it will be possible in the upcoming fixtures.’

Liton joined the individual practice session in the fourth phase. He feels joining the practice was so important ti get back to the shape following the long break. ‘It feels good to be back in Mirpur as after a long time i can again practice batting in the field. Most important thing is we can practice in the center wicket. Also its a big relieve that finally there will be games for us in the future. So i’m looking forward to prepare myself the best for doing well in the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.” he added.
