“At BKT, we are always thrilled about sports and are overjoyed to be partnering with a great team like Chennai Super Kings, a three-time champion of the league,” Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, BKT, said in a statement on Monday (Sept 7).

“We have always strived to be a multinational that encourages sports and brings people together in the process, and are truly delighted to be partnering with a team that has had such a stellar innings,” he added.

The Lions are the most consistent team in IPL history, having qualified for the Playoffs in all their 10 seasons, reached the final eight times and lifted the trophy thrice.

“We are excited to have BKT on board as an associate sponsor. BKT is a sport-loving corporate which makes the association all the more special,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said.

CSK will take on Mumbai Indians in the IPL-13 season opener in Abu Dhabi on Sept 19.
