PCB: National T20 Cup – important information for media

Pakistan’s 2020-21 domestic cricket season gets underway on Wednesday, 30 September, when the six First XI Cricket Association sides will feature in the 33-match National T20 Cup. Multan will stage the first round matches till 6 October, before Rawalpindi will host the second and play-off round from 9-18 October.

The Second XI matches will be staged at the Gaddafi Stadium from 1-8 October.

The following is important information for the respected members of the media, wishing to attend and follow the competition that will feature country’s best T20 players:

Media contacts – The following are the contact details of the media team, which will provide assistance to the respected members of the media during the course of the event and the 2020-21 season:

Live coverage– All 33 First XI matches will be produced by the PCB in High Definition and broadcast live on PTV Sports. Live-scoring will be available at www.pcb.com.pk, while live updates will be through @TheRealPCB_Live

Rights-free content – The PCB will provide the following rights-free content, which can be used for editorial purposes only:

  • Action photos, which will be available here and can be used crediting the PCB
  • Match reports both in English and Urdu languages
  • Post-match video interviews of star performers
  • 90-second match highlights, which will be available here

Covid-19 protocols – While complete details of Covid-19 Protocols are available here, some key guidelines for the respected members of the media are reproduced below:

  • If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, please don’t attempt to arrive at the venue to cover the match
  • Upon arrival, there will be thermal temperature checking
  • Please always ensure two-metre social distancing and wear masks at all times when at the venue
  • Accredited media is strongly advised to avoid gatherings when at the venue
  • Only 50+ members of the media or those with special needs will be allowed to use the venue lifts and only one person at a time can use the service
  • Photographers/camerapersons will be accommodated in the public enclosures on the either side of the media centres and are prohibited from picking or touching the cricket ball when at the venue
  • There will be hand sanitisers in the media working areas but the accredited media are encouraged to also bring their own sanitisers just in case these are short at match venues
  • During the day, there will be random temperature testing by the PCB medical staff
  • The PCB will only provide running tea, coffee and water and strongly encourages respected members of the media to bring their own food, drinks and cutlery
  • No in-person media-player interaction is allowed at match venues
