The Perth Scorchers summer of cricket has been confirmed following the official release of the revised 2020-21 KFC Big Bash League schedule. The 10th edition of the BBL will see the Scorchers open their campaign at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena on Saturday 12 December against the Melbourne Renegades.

The match-ups, start times and broadcasters for all regular season games have been confirmed, with venues in Tasmania, ACT, Queensland and South Australia locked in for the matches to be played through to the end of the year.

Locations for matches in the New Year will be announced in the coming weeks.

The League hopes the easing of border restrictions around the country will allow matches to be played in every state throughout the tournament.

The Western Australian Cricket Association is continuing to work closely with both the WA Government and Cricket Australia in the hope to bring a block of BBL matches to Perth in January.

The five-match KFC BBL|10 finals series will be played over Friday 29 January to Thursday 4 February, with the Final to be played on Saturday 6 February.

Head coach Adam Voges said it is exciting to have a BBL|10 fixture confirmed for the summer ahead.

“We now have a revised BBL schedule locked in that sees us begin our campaign in just over a month and the group is thrilled by that and ready to embrace it,” Voges said.

“Our players, coaches and staff are all looking forward to playing, albeit in these unusual circumstances.

“We are excited about the strong squad we have assembled for the summer and want to make our Scorchers fans proud.

“We remain hopeful that we will be able to play in front of our Members and fans at Optus Stadium in January.”
