Perth Scorchers hit perfect cover drive with Budget Direct

The Perth Scorchers are thrilled to announce Budget Direct, the fastest growing major car and home insurer in the country, as their Official Partner for the highly anticipated 2020-21 KFC Big Bash League season.Budget Direct’s logo will appear on the Scorchers playing and training kits, as well as LED signage across match days.

Through the partnership, Budget Direct will throw their support behind the Scorchers’ official charity partner Variety WA through the ‘Budget Direct Boundaries for Kids’ fundraising initiative.

This initiative will see Budget Direct donate $300 for every six and $100 for every four the Scorchers hit over their BBL campaign, up to $50,000 to support WA children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with a disability.

Budget Direct CEO John Myler said;

“Beyond getting behind the Scorchers, supporting the community in which we operate is a key element of our strategy and demonstrates our commitment and care for all.

“The opportunity to create the ‘Budget Direct Boundaries For Kids’ donation campaign, in support of the club’s charity partner Variety WA, is something we are proud to be involved with.”

WACA CEO Christina Matthews said the club was delighted to welcome Budget Direct to the WA Cricket family.

“Much like the Perth Scorchers and the BBL, Budget Direct has established themselves as an industry leader in a relatively short time,” Ms Matthews said.

“Their commitment to providing outstanding value for their customers, a fun personality, passion and commitment to giving back to the community really resonates with the Scorchers’ brand and values.

“We look forward to working with Budget Direct to extend their reach across the highest-rated League in Australia and the opportunity to engage with our passionate fan base.

“The initiative to raise funds to help WA kids in need will bring joy across the festive season in what has been a difficult year for all.”

Variety WA CEO Tony Hume said;

“The Perth Scorchers are known for bringing the community joy and now thanks to Budget Direct, each Scorchers boundary will be bringing enormous benefit to Western Australia’s sick and disadvantaged kids.

“This year was challenging for all of the community but at Variety WA we’ve been able to help more than 10,000 kids.

“We have loved our partnership with the Scorchers for many years now and this new initiative with Budget Direct will mean we can reach so many more kids who really need our help.”

The Perth Scorchers launch their BBL|10 campaign this Saturday against the Melbourne Renegades at Hobart’s Blundstone Arena.
