Six players who represented the Sydney Sixers Women’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team in early November have been selected in the NSW Women’s Indigenous team to play in Bowral on 16 January.

Roxsanne Van-Veen, Emily Cross, Zoe Fleming, Lara Graham, Taylor Ling and Caitlin Keen – who all represented the Sixers at the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander T20 Cup in late 2020 – have been selected in the state’s women’s Indigenous team.

The NSW Women’s Indigenous team, NSW Country Bush Breakers and an SCG XI will play in a T20 Women’s Tri-Series at Bradman Oval, Bowral, on Sunday 16 January subject to health advice regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

The tournament is an important opportunity for the Cricket NSW Women’s Indigenous and Country teams, who are unable to represent their culture and region at the respective National Championships this season due to the pandemic.
