North West Cricket held its Annual General Meeting after three years under Cricket South Africa Administration.

Held at the newly named JB Marks Oval President Suite, the North West Cricket affiliates and stakeholders attended in numbers the reconvened NWC AGM months after the 2021 NWC AGM was declared null and void early this year.

The outgoing NWC Administrator, Mr. Archie Pretorius said; “It is said that true character of the best sportsman is tested when everything is not going according to plan. This ideology has been tried and tested inside the domain of this organisation in the recent past”.

“I look forward to the new Board of Directors and trust that they will continue with the transformation of NWC into the future, ensuring sound corporate governance principles”, concluded Pretorius.

The following individuals were elected into the Board of Directors and Members Council:

Mr. Maleke Matolong       Chairperson of the Finance Committee.

Newly elected President, Tebogo Motlhabane said “It is a great honour and privilege to hold the highest office of cricket in the North West Province. Together with our administrators, affiliates, and the support of CSA, we have overcome challenges as a determined united front”.

Mr. Motlhabane welcomed the new Board of Directors, highlighting that their professions and skills are needed to support and guide NWC to greater heights.

“I conclude with the following words which should keep us together as a winning team during this tenure and beyond ‘Batho-Pele, Saamtrek, Forward we Go” Motlhabane concluded after his first address as the NWC President.
