Central Punjab’s Ahmed Safi Abdullah has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for a level 1 offence for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during the seventh round Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2021-22 match against Northern at NBP Sports Complex, Karachi.

Ahmed showed obvious disappointment after being given out. As such, he was found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

On-field umpires Faisal Khan Afridi and Ghaffar Kazmi levelled the charge on the batter, who accepted the sanction proposed by match-referee Ali Naqvi.

In another Quaid-e-Azam Trophy match, Mohammad Hasnain and Mir Hamza have been reprimanded for a level 1 offence for showing dissent during seventh-round match between Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at the State Bank Stadium, Karachi.

Hasnain and Mir representing Sindh showed obvious disappointments after being given out. As such, they were found to have violated Article 2.8 of the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

On-field umpires Imtiaz Iqbal and Waleed Yaqub levelled the charges on the batters, who accepted the sanctions proposed by match-referee Iftikhar Ahmed.
