Following the recent success of the senior professional team, The GbetsRocks, who won Cricket South Africa’s T20 Challenge, Cricket Boland is proud to acknowledge the selection of three visually impaired players to represent the national Blind Cricket Team following the recent inter-provincial tournament.
The players, Ferdi Boer, Shephard Mangxaba and Rame Kampher will represent South Africa on the tour of Pakistan.
James Fortuin, CEO of Cricket Boland said: “These successes are evident of the strides we are making to build a solid foundation for the future growth of the sport in our region.
“Having these players representing the country is a massive boost for our players in all categories to aspire for greater heights.”
The South African team will play three one-day international matches, and three T20 internationals against their host.
