  • Major dates in the women’s domestic calendar confirmed ahead of what is a truly historic 9 months ahead for the game in the United States
  • The 2nd Annual Sistar Mortgage Women’s National Championships represent the culmination of the domestic pathway

USA Cricket is pleased to announce that the 2022 Women and Girls’ Domestic Pathway is underway with matches currently being arranged between the teams at the Intraregional level, with the first games to begin as early as the weekend of June 16.

Intraregional: June 16-July 16

A total of 12 teams, from four regions, will participate this year in various cities across the country and players will showcase their skills in the hope of being selected to advance to the Regional competition.

Regional: July 25-28

The USA Cricket Women’s Regionals will be held at the MLC National Cricket Center at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC) in Texas.

The USA Cricket Women’s Regionals will see a team of selected players from the Southeast Region (Atlanta, Raleigh, and Chapel Hill) take on the Northeast Region (Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and DC), while the West Region (LA, Bay Area, and Seattle) will play the Southwest Region (Houston and Dallas).  At the conclusion of the Regionals, 13 players will then be selected to represent the East, and 13 players to represent the West at the National Championship.

National Championship – August 1-3

The 2nd annual Sistar Mortgage Women’s National Championships will be held at the Moosa Cricket Stadium in Pearland, TX between the East and West teams.  Following the event, the USA Women’s Selection Committee will announce a national squad to represent USA at the ICC Women’s T20 Global World Cup Qualifier later in the year.

In October, the 2nd annual Sistar Mortgage Women’s Under 19 National Championships will be held, allowing ample time for the selectors to observe our talented pool of youngsters throughout the year, and select a team for the Inaugural ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup, which will be held in South Africa in January 2023.

Nadia Gruny, Chair of the USA Cricket Women’s and Girls Committee, commented, “We are excited to build upon the progress we made last year.  2022 is a really important year for both the women and U19 teams as they prepare for significant global events, and we look forward to seeing players develop throughout the year to perform at the highest of standards. We would again like to thank our principal sponsor, Sistar Mortgage for their ongoing support of all levels of the sport but particularly the Women’s game in the United States.”
