Rehan Ulhaq is currently serving as the General Manager of the Pakistan Super League franchise Islamabad United. He has been with the franchise since the team was formed in December 2015. In addition, he serves as the General Manager of sister franchises Hong Kong Island United and the Vancouver Knights.

Ulhaq is tasked with handling all team-related activities (cricketing and otherwise) for Islamabad United before and during the annual PSL tournament. He is also the chief scout for International Players during the offseason for the franchise, where he handles all team and player-related activities that include interaction with foreign players and agents.

Along with Hassan Cheema, Ulhaq is part of Islamabad United’s four-man selection panel.

Prior to joining Islamabad United, Ulhaq spent several years in sports media and journalism.

His work with PTV Sports made him well-known in the sporting world, for both cricket and football. He was involved with PTV’s broadcast of the FIFA World Cup 2014, and subsequently appearing weekly on a football show entitled ‘Kick Off’ as an expert analyst.

Ulhaq covered domestic cricket for TV and various publications, leading him to the post of Draft Analyst along with Hassan Cheema at Islamabad United before PSL 1, with the two eventually being appointed as managers of the franchise.

Ulhaq’s journalistic endeavours include writing for ESPNCricinfo as a freelancer. He is an avid Real Marid fan and a social media influencer among football fans all over Pakistan.

Ulhaq graduated from Lahore School of Economics (LSE) with a major in Finance. He was part of the football team and member of the debating team for LSE.
