Thunder and NSW Health team up to promote health and education.

Working alongside the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), Sydney Thunder will be delivering the Thunder Literacy Program in Western Sydney libraries throughout September and October. The Thunder Literacy Program promotes the importance of reading and aims to create a life-long love of learning and health. Combining cricket activities and reading sessions, Sydney Thunder is committed to making a meaningful impact across the Thunder Nation.

The Sydney Thunder Literacy Program is aimed at children aged 5 – 12. The one-hour session involves reading age-appropriate books in groups followed by basic cricket activities (outdoors). Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes for physical activity, a hat, sunscreen and bring a drink bottle.
