Titans Cricket renew partnership with wearables and tech giant Garmin

Titans Cricket announces with delight the renewal of their partnership with wearables and tech giant Garmin for the 2023/2024 campaign.

Garmin is the official device partner of the Titans and the partnership has been going for more than 5 years with the parties first going into business in 2017./2018

Garmin Ltd. is an International technology company with operations headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, United States. Founded in 1989 by Gary Burrell and Min H. Kao – forming the iconic name: GARMIN

Product lines cover the aviation, marine, automotive, wearables, outdoor, and fitness industries. By integrating accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer, Garmin devices are able to detect the precise direction and angle of movement, and track floors ascended/descended, or the types of activities taken, greatly enhancing the precision of GPS positioning.

This puts Garmin products in a league of their own within the Tech industry. Garmin South Africa is also honoured to be named the global office of the year since 2021!

“It’s exciting news for us. Not only because of the global brand that Garmin is but also because of the people from Garmin that we’ve had the pleasure of working with.” Said Titans Cricket Commercial Manager Pierre Joubert.

“Working with the team from Garmin has been blissful and they always bring a contagious energy. The players are very big admirers of their products and with all the tech Garmin wearables come with they devices are key in helping the players track their performance.”

Jeann Steyn, sponsorship coordinator Sub-Saharan Africa shared his feedback on the news of the partnership renewal. “The Titans is one of those South African brands that is recognized around the globe within the cricket industry as a world-class union of the past and present. Garmin has in the past partnered with various iconic sporting personas and teams, the Titans are no different.” Steyn explained.

“The partnership portrays Garmin’s commitment to sports development in South Africa, especially women’s sports. It is a privilege to be at the forefront of women’s sport with the Titans.
