The Adelaide Strikers are thrilled to announce that Grinspoon will be taking to the Adelaide Oval stage on the final night of 2023, playing in the new year following the Strikers’ annual New Year’s Eve fixture.
Grinspoon’s headline performance during a huge light and sound show post-match will be presented by V Energy.
V Energy were the presenting partner of last year’s NYE extravaganza and the Adelaide Strikers are delighted to have them back onboard for 2023/24.
Grinspoon’s heart and soul and lead singer Phil Jamieson can’t wait to play at the iconic Adelaide Oval in front of a huge crowd.
“This is the greatest sporting ground in the world, I’ve been lucky enough to play at a few sporting Ovals and this is just breathtaking,” Jamieson said.
“It’s absolutely gorgeous, I can’t wait to be here for New Year’s Eve.
“It’s a sensational feeling to play in front of that many people, I’m hoping that the Strikers win and everyone is absolutely stoked.
“I love the cricket, have done for many years, my favourite player is the Strikers own Travis Head.
“I’ll be all Strikers for New Year’s Eve.”
SACA Chief Commercial Officer Phil King said the organisation is thrilled to have both Grinspoon and V Energy involved in Adelaide’s biggest New Year’s Eve party.
“Grinspoon will light up Adelaide Oval on New Year’s Eve and we can’t wait to see them take the stage in what will be a brilliant way to mark the turning of the calendar year,” King said.
