ACB leadership attend the ACC Annual General Meeting in Bali

Afghanistan Cricket Board’s top management officials, Chairman Mr. Mirwais Ashraf and CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan, attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asian Cricket Council in Bali, Indonesia on January 31, 2024.

Alongside officials from the Afghanistan Cricket Board, the ACC AGM also saw attendance from other member nations across the Asian region to reflect on and approve various financial and operational decisions of the organization.

During the AGM, Mr. Jay Shah’s tenure as the president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was extended by one year.

In a significant move, the ACB’s request for the share of the budget equivalent to that of other full member countries including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, was approved.

Moreover, the ACB officials met ACC leadership & counterparts from other member countries to discuss bilateral ties, increasing the participation of the Afghan umpires in the ACC events, and enhancing the capacity-building efforts for the ACB’s technical staff by the Asian Cricket Council.
