USA Cricket membership and election update

Must Read

USA Cricket has confirmed that an independent Nominating & Governance Committee had been appointed to oversee upcoming USA Cricket Board elections.  The Committee has already met on three separate occasions during the past month, as part of its preparation to oversee those elections in due course.

The Nominating & Governance Committee is made up of three independent experts (Jagan Jagannanthan, Amy Perko and Jim Isch) who collectively bring decades of sports leadership and governance experience from both within and outside of cricket in the USA, as well as a player (Nisarg Patel) appointed by the Male Player Director pursuant to the USA Cricket constitution.

The Nominating & Governance Committee is required to act independently of the USA Cricket Board in its oversight and management of the election process and, as it has done in previous years, will be publishing its proposed timeline and other related matters in due course.

As part of that role, the results of the recent membership resolution regarding eligibility to vote and stand in the next set of elections and its impact are due to be considered by the Committee shortly.  A further update with details on these and related matters, including the launch of the new membership portal, the membership benefits, costs and joining process and the proposed election processes, will be made as soon as possible after they have been fully considered and determined.
