USA Cricket announced important leadership and committee appointments today as part of its ongoing commitment to governance excellence and strategic direction ahead of hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in June 2024.
Independent Director and Treasurer: Pintoo Shah
Mr. Pintoo Shah has been re-appointed to the position of Independent Director. Following recent constitutional amendments, USA Cricket’s board of directors approved Shah’s re-appointment for a full three-year term. This decision comes after a rigorous vetting process conducted by the Nomination and Governance Committee.
In addition to resuming his role as an Independent Director, Mr. Shah will also assume the role of Treasurer of USA Cricket. With a proven track record in finance and analytical oversight, he will bring invaluable expertise to USA Cricket’s financial management and investment strategies.
Mr. Pintoo Shah expressed his gratitude, stating: “I am honored to continue serving as an Independent Director for USA Cricket. I am committed to leveraging my expertise to drive positive change and contribute to the development of cricket in the US.”
Secretary: Anj Balusu
Mr. Anj Balusu has been appointed as Secretary, tasked with managing the organization’s administrative affairs and facilitating communication between stakeholders. He has 25+ years of transforming business operations and prioritizing inclusiveness. Mr. Balusu is a long-standing cricket administrator involved in developing grassroots-level cricket programs.
Committee appointments
Furthermore, USA Cricket appointed various committees for a two-year term, under constitutional requirements – 33% representation from USA Athletes. The newly appointed committees encompass a range of functions, including governance, finance, strategic planning, and athlete development.
