Afghanistan National U19s’ Fixtures are revised in ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2022, following their late arrival to Trinidad and Tobago. As a result of the delay and based on the quarantine requirements for the tournament, the first game of Afghanistan is pushed to January 18, when the Future Stars will take on Papua New Guinea.

Afghanistan U-19s were meant to take on Zimbabwe in their opening game on January 16 in Trinidad, which is now been rescheduled to January 22. The fixture against Pakistan U19s is unchanged and will be played on its original schedule on January 20.

Afghanistan is placed in Group C of the competitions alongside three opponents, where all the sides in this group have had their games rescheduled to fit in Afghanistan’s matches. The top two teams from the group qualify for the quarter-finals, while the bottom two from each group will compete in a plate championship.

This is Afghanistan’s 7th outing in the ICC U19 Cricket World Cups from 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 & this edition of the event 2022 respectively, where the best performance of the team came out in 2018 when they touched down the Semi-finals.
