Nominated and voted by fellow players, the Player’s Player award is not intended as a recognition of the team’s best player but to serve as a recognition from fellow peers for always demonstrating the team’s values, culture, skills and attitude.

The 2022 Imperial Lions Women’s and Men’s nominees are:

Imperial Lions Women’s Players Player of the Year

Imperial Lions Men’s Players Player of the Year

  1. Sisanda Magala
  2. Mitch van Buuren
  3. Malusi Siboto
  4. Ryan Rickelton
  5. Reeza Hendricks
  6. Duanne Olivier
  7. Bjorn Fortuin

Lions Cricket supporters and fans are welcomed to join the festivities and the night’s entertainment on Saturday 28 May at the majestic Sun Bet Time Square Arena.

Tickets are available via Ticket Master from as little as R50 per person for general stand or from R850 for a fully catered VIP ‘Red Carpet’ experience with the #ThePrideOfJozi team, Lions Cricket ambassadors as well as other partners.

Sun International has made available certain rooms for accommodating all those wanting to fully embrace the evening’s entertainment at a discounted price for all guests.

In addition, Mega Bus will shuttle guests from the Imperial Wanderers Stadium to the Sun Bet Time Square Arena and back at a minimal cost of R120 return ticket.
