The Melbourne Stars have locked in 2 international talents in the first ever WBBL Draft.

Teenage sensation Alice Capsey will return to the Stars for a second season, after the Stars chose the English allrounder with Pick 4 in the inaugural WBBL Overseas Player Draft.

Still aged just 19, Capsey is one of the most exciting talents in cricket. With a power game to rival anyone in the world, Capsey returns to the Stars after playing all 14 games last season.

Dynamic in the field, Capsey can provide a handy spinning option and took 9 wickets in WBBL|08.

Capsey’s game has continued to grow over the last twelve months with experience at international level with England and the Women’s Premier League in India.

The Stars then bid on Laura Wolvaart with Pick 12 but that was matched by the Adelaide Strikers who used their retention pick on the South African.

At Pick 13, the Stars secured English batter Maia Bouchier.

Bouchier returns to the Stars after playing in WBBL|07. Since that time, she has taken her game to a new level and was the 4th highest run scorer in the Hundred in England.

Capable of batting anywhere in the order, she possesses a huge game and constantly strikes at over 130.

The Stars opted to pass on their final two picks with players available from tomorrow for direct signing.
