Australia’s first-ever men’s international cricket match in Mackay is officially sold out, with 5,000 fans expected at Great Barrier Reef Arena on Friday for a historic ODI clash against South Africa.

The match marks the return of men’s international cricket to the Mackay region for the first time in over 30 years, generating immense local buzz and overwhelming ticket demand.

Sellout follows strong series momentum

The Mackay sellout continues a trend for the BKT Tyres Men’s white-ball series, with capacity crowds already recorded at Darwin and Cairns for both T20I and ODI fixtures.

Cricket Australia (CA) has hailed the regional response to the series as one of the strongest in recent years.
