BCB rolls out National Cricket League T20 Edition

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially launched the National Cricket League (NCL) T20 edition, aiming to provide local cricketers with a platform to showcase their talent and prepare for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), according to UNB.

The tournament, titled Al-Arafah Islami Bank NCL T20 Powered by Walton, is scheduled to run from December 11 to 24.

The event’s logo was unveiled during a ceremony at the InterContinental Hotel in Dhaka, attended by BCB President Faruk Ahmed, BCB Director Fahim Sinha, and representatives from the sponsoring organizations.

The competition will feature eight teams, including seven divisional teams and Dhaka Metro. League matches are set to take place at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium and Sylhet Divisional Stadium Outer Ground, with the playoffs and final scheduled at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

BCB President Faruk Ahmed highlighted the tournament’s significance, stating that it provides an essential platform for players to prepare for the BPL and contribute to the growth of T20 cricket in Bangladesh.

Sponsors expressed enthusiasm for their involvement, reiterating their commitment to supporting cricket in the country.

The tournament will be broadcast live on T Sports, with at least 18 matches televised. Additionally, matches will be available on the T Sports app, streamed on the OTT platform FanCode in India, and accessible worldwide via the T Sports YouTube channel.
