BCCI opens applications for national selector roles across men’s, women’s, and junior teams

Two senior men’s, four women’s, and one junior men’s selector positions available, with applications open until September 10.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially opened applications for multiple national selector roles across its Senior Men’s, Senior Women’s, and Junior Men’s Selection Committees, ahead of the upcoming 2025–26 international and domestic season.

The open roles include:

National Selector – Men’s Committee (2 positions)

National Selector – Women’s Committee (4 positions)

National Selector – Junior Men’s Committee (1 position)

📝 Role Overview and Responsibilities

Senior Men’s Selection Committee

Selected members will be responsible for picking Team India (Senior Men) squads across formats — Tests, ODIs, T20Is, and any other formats designated by the BCCI.

Eligibility:

Minimum of 7 Test Matches; OR 30 First-Class Matches; OR 10 ODIs and 20 First-Class Matches

Must have retired from the game at least 5 years prior

Must not have served on any BCCI Cricket Committee for a cumulative period of 5 years

Senior Women’s Selection Committee

Committee members will oversee selection for Team India (Senior Women) across all formats and age groups. Responsibilities also include vetting coaches, evaluating support staff, and strengthening the national player pool.

Eligibility:

Former players who have represented the Indian Women’s National Team

Must have retired from the game at least 5 years prior

Must not have served on any BCCI Cricket Committee for a cumulative period of 5 years

Junior Men’s Selection Committee

This position involves selecting age-group teams up to U-22 for camps, domestic competitions, and international tours. The role includes evaluating captains and coaches and fostering ethical standards in youth cricket.

Eligibility:

Minimum of 25 First-Class Matches

Must have retired from the game at least 5 years prior

Must not have served on any BCCI Cricket Committee for a cumulative period of 5 years

Deadline to apply: 5:00 PM IST on September 10, 2025.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for personal interviews. All roles are subject to BCCI’s governance, regulatory framework, and integrity standards.
