Phoenix have begun the search for a new men’s head coach after parting company with Bond following a one-win season at the bottom of The Hundred table.

Phoenix Men finished bottom of The Hundred table with just one win from their eight games and the decision has therefore been made to make a change.

James Thomas, Birmingham Phoenix Performance Director, said: “We reviewed all aspects of this season’s campaign and after evaluating the review with our Board and Cricket Committee, we made the difficult decision to relieve Shane of his duties.

“We thank Shane for his efforts with the Phoenix and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

The process to appoint a successor is under way. Birmingham Phoenix will be making no further comment at this time.
