Chennai Super Kings have secured another long-term commercial commitment ahead of the upcoming IPL season, reinforcing one of the league’s most consistent brand partnerships.

According to multiple reports, Gulf Oil Lubricants has renewed its association with the five-time Indian Premier League champions, extending its role as the franchise’s Official Lubricants Partner for the next four years. The renewal continues a relationship that has spanned 13 seasons, making it one of the longest-running brand alignments within the IPL ecosystem.

One of IPL’s longest-running brand associations

The extended agreement ensures that Gulf Oil remains closely connected with the Chennai-based franchise as both organisations continue to build on a partnership that has evolved significantly over more than a decade.

Over the years, the collaboration has helped strengthen Gulf’s visibility among cricket audiences while linking the brand with one of the IPL’s most recognisable teams and fan communities. The renewed deal also signals the continued commercial appeal of CSK’s brand among sponsors seeking sustained engagement with cricket followers across India.

Ravi Chawla, Managing Director & CEO, Gulf Oil Lubricants India Limited, highlighted the significance of the partnership’s longevity and the relationship it has built with supporters. He said in an official statement, “Gulf’s 13-season journey with CSK reflects a relationship built on trust, shared passion, and mutual success. This partnership has consistently delivered far beyond the commercial contract, forging a deep emotional connection with the loyal CSK fan base and cricket enthusiasts across the nation. Continuing this association is a proud moment for Gulf as it reflects our global heritage of supporting performance sports and iconic teams that inspire millions of fans.”

Focus on fan engagement and marketing activations

As the partnership enters a new phase, both organisations plan to expand their collaborative efforts across marketing campaigns and fan engagement initiatives.

The renewed agreement is expected to see the two sides continue working together on integrated promotional activities, digital activations, and initiatives designed to deepen interaction with cricket supporters nationwide. Such campaigns have historically played a key role in connecting brands with CSK’s extensive fan base.

KS Viswanathan, Managing Director, Chennai Super Kings, welcomed the continuation of the partnership and emphasised Gulf’s role in engaging with fans over the years. He said in an official statement, “We are pleased to continue our long-standing association with Gulf, a partner that has been with us through many memorable seasons. Over the years, Gulf has consistently brought creativity and energy to the partnership while engaging with our fans. We look forward to strengthening this relationship over the next four years. We are really pleased about how it has come together.”

Continued sponsor momentum for Chennai Super Kings

The renewal with Gulf Oil comes as Chennai Super Kings continue to strengthen their sponsorship portfolio ahead of IPL 2026.

Alongside extending existing relationships with partners such as Ashok Leyland, the franchise has also secured new commercial agreements with brands including Skybags and Vodafone. The latest renewal further underlines CSK’s position as one of the IPL’s most commercially stable teams, with long-standing brand partnerships forming a core part of its marketing strategy.

With the Gulf Oil agreement now extended through another four-year cycle, both organisations will aim to leverage the partnership to expand fan engagement and reinforce their shared presence within the IPL’s growing commercial landscape.
