Brook to lead England in three ODIs and three T20s starting May 29 at Edgbaston

England Men have named their ODI and IT20 squads for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies, with Harry Brook set to captain both sides in what marks a new era for the national team’s limited-overs leadership.

The three-match Metro Bank ODI series begins on Thursday, 29 May at Edgbaston, followed by a three-match Vitality IT20 series. Several players return to the setup while others have earned call-ups based on domestic form.

Key inclusions and returns

Liam Dawson returns to the IT20 side for the first time since September 2022. The Hampshire all-rounder brings experience and versatility with bat and ball, having earned 11 IT20 caps to date.

Luke Wood, the left-arm seamer from Lancashire, rejoins the T20 squad after last playing in September 2023. Spinner Tom Hartley is back in the ODI squad, having last featured against Ireland in 2023.

Will Jacks earns a spot in both squads, marking a significant return for the Surrey batting all-rounder. Jos Buttler, Adil Rashid, and Joe Root provide experienced leadership alongside Brook.

The series serves as key preparation for England ahead of a packed international calendar, and gives emerging talent the chance to prove themselves at the highest level.
