Century Cricket is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Millard as Global CEO, as the business prepares to lead its next phase of international expansion, venue rollout and technology-enabled cricket development.
Millard joins Century following more than a decade with the Barmy Army and Emprise Group, where he helped transform the organisation from a predominantly touring supporters group into a diversified global cricket business and community.
“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to spend the last decade helping build the Barmy Army into a truly global cricket community and business. Century represents an opportunity to take everything I’ve learned about building brands, communities and businesses within cricket and apply it to an entirely new space,” said Millard.
“What attracted me immediately was the scale of the ambition. We’re not looking to build a handful of cricket centres. We’re building a global platform that can change how people access, experience and improve at the game.”
Millard joined the Barmy Army in 2015 while completing his university studies and was appointed Managing Director aged 24.
During his tenure, Barmy Army membership grew from approximately 1,500 to 55,000, while its digital audience increased from around 90,000 to more than 2.5 million. Millard went on to lead teams spanning travel, events, merchandise, media, coaching, operations and commercial activity, delivering cricket experiences and building partnerships across multiple international markets.
He now joins Century Cricket as the company prepares to unveil a series of major developments across its technology, venues and international expansion.
Century is building a global network of technology-enabled cricket centres, bringing coaching, data and performance technology together under one roof. Its ambition extends beyond physical venues, with a wider digital ecosystem designed to connect players, coaches and performance data across markets.
“There is a great deal about Century that we look forward to announcing at the appropriate times, but the quality of the people, technology and partners already around the business gives me enormous confidence in what we can build,” said Millard.
“Our ambition over the coming years is significant and our job now is execution. We want to build a genuinely global cricket business that uses technology to make high-quality training, performance data and competition more accessible to players at every level of the game.”
Millard’s combination of commercial expertise, industry credibility, entrepreneurial energy and deep understanding of the global cricket landscape will propel Century from vision and development, into a major execution and growth phase on the international stage.
“On behalf of the founders and all investors, we are thrilled to have Chris join as our inaugural Global CEO. His invaluable experience in cricket, his shared vision for our global platform and his passion for bringing people on an exciting and unique cricket journey made Chris the perfect choice as Global CEO to lead Century Cricket’s global rollout,” said Clayton Glenister, incoming Chair of Century Cricket.
With Millard at the helm, Century Cricket’s ambition to build a truly global cricket business, alongside a world-class team, will ensure it becomes a leading international player, with a clear vision for long-term growth across global markets.
“Having spent time with Chris during the most recent Ashes tour, I saw first-hand his ability to navigate multiple stakeholders across the cricketing landscape, build trusted relationships and deliver in a complex and fast-moving environment. What stood out was his energy, judgement and ability to bring people with him,” said Stuart Giles, Century Cricket Co-Founder.
“Century Cricket is all about the future of cricket and we have enormous ambition for what we can create globally. I came away from that tour convinced Chris was the right person to help us turn that ambition into reality.”
Century Cricket has a growing pipeline of flagship locations and partnerships, with further announcements planned throughout 2026 and 2027.
