Cricket’s commercial momentum continued across the globe this week, with AAMI landing principal partnerships with both the Sydney Sixers and Perth Scorchers, Genesis signing a three-year deal spanning New Zealand Cricket from grassroots to the national teams, and Mankind Pharma taking title sponsorship of the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League. BBL: Principal partnerships, community investment and international expansion shape commercial activity

Commercial activity across the BBL included major principal partnerships for the Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Renegades, alongside a Western Australian Government initiative using the Scorchers’ historic Chennai season opener to promote the state in India.

AAMI becomes Sydney Sixers Principal Partner

AAMI has signed a two-year agreement to become Principal Partner of the Sydney Sixers’ BBL and WBBL teams through the end of the 2027-28 season. The insurer will feature on the front of both teams’ playing shirts and on their caps and helmets, while also becoming the Sixers’ Official Insurance Partner, an Official Partner of Cricket NSW and Presenting Partner of the Sixers’ Community Rounds.

AAMI joins Perth Scorchers as Principal Partner

Western Australia partners with Perth Scorchers for State of Energy campaign

The Western Australian Government has established a new relationship between the Perth Scorchers and its global State of Energy initiative ahead of the club’s BBL|16 opener against Melbourne Renegades in Chennai on December 12. The first BBL match staged outside Australia will provide a platform to promote Western Australia’s investment, tourism and creative industries to Indian audiences as part of the state government’s wider trade and investment mission.

Durham Cricket Foundation has secured continued commercial backing for its disability cricket programme, with transport support remaining a key component in enabling its visually impaired team to compete nationally.

Go North East renews Durham VI Team sponsorship for fourth year

Go North East will continue as front-of-shirt sponsor of Durham Cricket Foundation’s Visually Impaired Cricket Team for a fourth consecutive year. The sponsorship helps fund the team’s transport to away fixtures across the country, supporting players with partial or total sight loss competing in ECB competitions.
