The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed Gaurav Saxena as the new General Manager – Events and Corporate Communications.
Saxena brings over 19 years of experience in the sports industry to the role.
Since 2021, Saxena has served as General Manager – Operations at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), where he has played a key role in shaping the digital and media landscape, driving strategic partnerships, and pioneering innovations that have redefined cricket’s digital presence.
In 2009, Saxena joined the Indian Premier League (IPL) as Project Manager for Digital & New Media.
Saxena began his career in 2004 at Sahara India Television Network (SITV) as Deputy Sports Editor, where he worked for three years. He then moved to Neo Cricket, the official broadcaster of the BCCI, where he spent over two years focusing on live match reporting and creating exclusive cricket content.
