The Jharkhand T20 Cricket League (JT20CL) has been valued at ₹403 crore (approx. US$42 million) following its inaugural season in 2026, according to a report by EventFAQs.

The valuation has been disclosed as part of the league’s commercial outlook, alongside projections for substantial revenue growth over the coming seasons. The figures reflect the organisers’ expectations for the competition’s development rather than revenue already generated.

Owned by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) and organised and managed by AV24 Sports Private Limited, JT20CL completed its first season with six franchises competing at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

Jharkhand T20 Cricket League targets long-term revenue growth

The league’s financial projections anticipate revenue from operations reaching approximately ₹38.50 crore (approx. US$4 million) in its second season, increasing to ₹311.04 crore (approx. US$33 million) by Season 10.

The forecasts indicate the scale of the commercial expansion being pursued by the organisers, although actual results will depend on the development of the league’s revenue-generating activities.

JT20CL’s business model extends beyond franchise participation to include sponsorship agreements, media and digital rights, advertising, ticket sales, hospitality, merchandising and digital content.

The league also identifies potential future sports properties as part of its wider commercial framework.

Together, these revenue streams provide multiple avenues for growth as the competition seeks to establish a longer-term position within India’s state-level cricket ecosystem.

Broadcasting partnerships provide national distribution

Despite being based in Jharkhand, the competition secured distribution beyond the state during its debut season.

Matches were available nationally through JioHotstar‘s digital platform, while DD Sports provided television coverage.

The inaugural edition also attracted title sponsorship and participation from established commercial brands, providing the league with initial sponsorship relationships alongside its media distribution arrangements.

These partnerships form part of the commercial foundation on which the organisers intend to build in subsequent seasons.

Six franchises complete inaugural season in Ranchi

The 2026 tournament featured 27 matches at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, comprising 24 league-stage fixtures, two semi-finals and a final.

The six-team structure gave the competition a franchise-based format within the state’s cricket system, with JSCA retaining ownership and AV24 Sports responsible for its organisation and management.

The arrangement combines the state association’s involvement with a private sports management company’s role in operating the tournament and developing its commercial opportunities.

AV24 Sports outlines ambitions for Jharkhand cricket

AV24 Sports Founder Sambhav Jain addressed the league’s prospects following the completion of its first season.

AV24 Sports Founder Sambhav Jain said: “The inaugural season of the Jharkhand T20 Cricket League has demonstrated the immense potential of building a professionally managed cricket property rooted in Jharkhand. With the support of JSCA, our franchise partners, sponsors, broadcasters and stakeholders, JT20CL is positioned to become a strong sporting and commercial platform for the state and its cricketing talent.”

The league’s next phase will provide an opportunity to assess whether its commercial partnerships and franchise model can support the revenue growth outlined in its projections.

For JT20CL, the ₹403 crore valuation provides an early measure of its stated commercial potential, while future seasons will determine how that potential translates into sustained operating revenue.
