Jordan Cox and Phoebe Litchfield have been named The Hundred Men’s and Women’s Players of the Year after topping the PCA Most Valuable Player (MVP) Rankings for 2025. Both players were instrumental in their teams’ championship victories and delivered standout individual performances throughout the tournament.
Cox starred for the Oval Invincibles, while Litchfield was pivotal for the Northern Superchargers as both sides lifted The Hundred trophy on finals day.
Jordan Cox edges Livingstone to top men’s MVP standings
In a close battle with Liam Livingstone, 24-year-old Jordan Cox finished with 159.89 MVP points, boosted by consistent high-impact performances across the competition. Cox scored 367 runs at a remarkable average of 61.16 and a strike rate of 173.93, ending as the tournament’s top run-scorer—84 runs clear of Jos Buttler.
Cox’s highlights included an unbeaten 86 off 29 balls against Welsh Fire (earning 43.71 MVP points) and another Match MVP effort with 58* off 32 balls. He scored under 24 just once in nine innings and added value in the field with seven catches and one run-out.
“I always try and bang that door down. Playing for your country is the most satisfying thing, so if it comes, it comes,” said Cox at Lord’s.
Litchfield leads women’s rankings with runs, strike rate and consistency
For the Superchargers, Phoebe Litchfield topped the women’s MVP chart with 124.23 points, narrowly ahead of England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt (119.19). Litchfield was also the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 292 runs at an average of 41.71 and a strike rate of 157.83.
She passed 50 twice—scoring 59* against Birmingham Phoenix and 55* against London Spirit, both Match MVP performances. In the final, she struck a game-defining 26 off just 13 balls as the Superchargers defeated previously unbeaten Southern Brave.
“It’s my favourite team to play for… playing here with a packed crowd is amazing,” Litchfield said live on Sky Sports.
Sciver-Brunt, Sutherland and Perrin highlight top 10s
Nat Sciver-Brunt led the England players in the women’s MVP race with 256 runs at a strike-rate of 148.83 and three 50+ scores. Annabel Sutherland, the 2024 MVP, came in third with 118.27 points.
Davina Perrin delivered the second-fastest century in Hundred history, a stunning 101 off 43 balls in The Eliminator, earning 51.62 MVP points. England pacer Lauren Bell ended as the top wicket-taker with 19 wickets and 87.49 bowling points.
The MVP system explained
The PCA MVP rankings, powered by OFX and developed with CricViz, evaluate each player’s batting, bowling and fielding contributions in context, using advanced metrics and historical data. The algorithm reflects a player’s true impact by factoring in match-defining moments and venue-specific difficulty.
Cox and Litchfield each received a £5,000 prize and a bespoke trophy from Mappin & Webb for finishing top of the MVP tables.
