LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially appointed Mike Hesson as the white-ball head coach of the Pakistan men’s national cricket team, effective from 26 May 2025.
Hesson, a seasoned coach with a strong international pedigree, assumes the role following a thorough selection process after the position became vacant post Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand in April.
The former New Zealand and Kenya national team coach brings deep white-ball experience and strategic insight. Hesson is also currently serving as head coach of Islamabad United, the defending champions of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Hesson’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Pakistan gears up for key white-ball assignments, including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and ODI series later this year. His dual experience in franchise and international coaching is expected to enhance team performance and tactical adaptability.
