We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and motivational Strength & Conditioning Coordinator to join our team. This role is 20 hours per week, a part-time permanent position. It will provide a unique opportunity to lead the Athletic Development programme for the ND Women’s squad aligned to the NDCA high-performance strategy, helping to produce WHITE FERNS through a balanced individual approach supported by consistent performing teams. You will also have contact with our ND Regional Academy (male and female athletes) providing education, support and delivery, as required.
You will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Develop and implement the athletic development plan for our female high performance programme
- Provide targeted support for key identified players as a priority
- Build strong working relationships across our performance & talent environments, and work closely with our Athletic Development Lead, to ensure the collaborative delivery to athletes across a decentralised model
- Support the design of the athletic development plan for our ND Regional Academy and provide education and support to assist in its delivery and education
- Educate and coordinate players and coaches on the holistic development of the cricket athlete
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- An undergraduate degree in sports science or similar
- Sound knowledge of athletic development principles
- Strong administrative and excellent communication skills
- An ability to work flexible hours
- Adaptable to ever changing environments and requirements
- Respect and maintain confidentiality
- Capability to manage the workload of supporting squads of athletes and the ebbs and flows in and out of season
