Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town will host the Betway SA20 Season 4 Final, with Durban, Centurion, and the Wanderers confirmed as Playoffs venues for the tournament, which kicks off on 26 December 2025.
Newlands final set for blockbuster Sunday
The Final will take place on Sunday, 25 January 2026, promising a vibrant summer spectacle in Cape Town. Last season, Newlands sold out all five matches, and League Commissioner Graeme Smith expects another full house to witness the crowning of the Season 4 champions.
“It sets up an incredible afternoon with great weather, entertainment and a lively atmosphere,” said Smith. “We’re excited to bring the Final back to Newlands where the fans always create a fantastic buzz.”
Durban to host first-ever SA20 Playoff match
Qualifier 1 will be played in Durban on Wednesday, 21 January, marking the city’s first time hosting a Playoffs game in SA20 history. The match will feature the two top-ranked teams from the league stage, giving east coast fans a high-stakes battle to enjoy.
Centurion and Wanderers set for crucial knockout clashes
Centurion will host the Eliminator on Thursday, 22 January, followed by Qualifier 2 at the Wanderers on Friday, 23 January, where the winner will join the Durban victor in the Final.
“It’s always key to have the Playoffs venues close together because the matches are a day apart,” said Smith. “We’re excited to return to these iconic stadiums for back-to-back knockout cricket.”
Ticket sales and pre-sale registration details
Tickets for the Final and Playoffs will go on sale to the general public on 10 October. Fans can register now for an exclusive pre-sale window for all group stage and Playoffs matches. This registration closes at midnight (SAST) on Monday, 15 September.
“The fans have been at the heart of our success over the past three seasons,” added Smith. “With SA20 taking place during the holiday season, we’re expecting strong interest across the country.”

The next major milestone will be the Player Auction on 9 September, where all six franchises will finalize their 19-player squads. With a R131 million salary cap, the event is set to deliver intense bidding and top-tier international signings.
The auction will be broadcast live on:
