Pakistan vs India match in Dubai sets record with $12.1M in ticket sales at ICC Champions Trophy

The much-anticipated IndiaPakistan showdown at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has set new revenue benchmarks, generating an estimated AED 45.6 million (USD 12.13 million) in ticket sales. Combined with other ICC Champions Trophy matches in Dubai, total ticket revenue has soared to AED 88.55 million (USD 23.55 million).

With all 25,000 seats selling out despite premium pricing, the excitement for this marquee event remains unparalleled. Ticket prices ranged from AED 500 (USD 132.98) for General Admission to AED 3,325 (USD) for high-end packages, including The Grand Lounge at AED 5,000 (USD 1,330). The average ticket price stood at AED 1,825 (USD 485), making the India-Pakistan clash one of the most lucrative matches in cricket history.

Strong ticket sales were also reported for two other key fixtures at the stadium. The India vs Bangladesh match on February 20 saw ticket prices ranging from AED 250 (USD 66.5) to AED 2,000 (USD 532), with an average price of AED 708.33 (USD 188.39). The match is projected to generate AED 17.7 million (USD 4.71 million). Meanwhile, the India vs New Zealand encounter on March 2 had tickets priced between AED 300 (USD 80) and AED 2,500 (USD 665), with an average ticket price of AED 850 (USD 226) and an estimated revenue of AED 21.25 million (USD 5.65 million).

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium offers various seating options, catering to a diverse audience. The North, East, and West Stands have a combined capacity of 20,000, while the Premium Gallery features 3,500 seats, and the Platinum Gallery offers 406 deluxe seating arrangements.

Beyond cricket, these high-profile matches have significantly impacted Dubai’s economy. Airlines, hotels, and local businesses have reported a surge in demand, with airfare and hotel rates rising by up to 50%. Premium hospitality venues are also capitalizing on the event, offering exclusive match-day experiences.

With a seating capacity of 25,000, expandable to 30,000, the stadium has become a hub for cricket fans eager to witness history in the making.
